The Truth Will Set You Free

WHY?
In the beginning…
The most devastating thing that anyone can experience in life?
Rejection from another human being.
We’ve all experienced it, to some degree, at least one time in our lives.
Unfortunately, many of us experience the pain of rejection many times over – whether on a personal or professional level.
Some occupations experience it more often than others. For example – people who work in multi-level/network marketing (MLM) professions typically experience rejection on a daily basis.
Rejection doesn’t discriminate either. It affects you whether you’re male or female, black or white, and of any religious belief.
When I talk about rejection, I am talking from the truth of my own personal experience.
For me, early memories of rejection came in childhood – an unfortunate reality for too many children. I’m sure you remember those moments too? Those times when the adults would shoo you into another room with the reminder that ‘adults needed to talk’ and you were NOT wanted.
Rejection – A Lifelong Habit?
Think about it, “rejection” is experienced by every human being from the time they are born to the end of their mortal time here on earth, no matter their status in life; religious, spiritual or political beliefs, their race, their culture, rich or poor, I speak from my own life experiences; as a child and being told to move out of the adult company “go play outside & stop asking questions”; growing up as a Coloured (Mixed Race) person during the oppressive “apartheid era” in the Republic of South Africa. Rejected by the black and the white as not one of their own. As an immigrant to this wonderfully, blessed country Australia (The Lucky Country) when my wife, three young children and I were accepted as migrants just after Australia removed “The White Australia” policy.
Habits can be Broken
On the flip side of rejection, the beautiful, generous love, kindness, empathy, acceptance, teachings, patience and life experiences and lessons from my good parents, family, friends and strangers and many, many people around the world – irrespective of their race, colour of skin, religious, political & spiritual beliefs, rich or poor – have helped & taught me to Turn Around Rejection.
It’s been a long and interesting journey from childhood until now – approaching my milestone ‘three score and ten’.
There have been many books that have helped me – especially The Healing Code by Dr. Alexander Loyd, PhD and Dr. Ben Johnson, MD. I have learned that it is a healthy attitude to accept that rejection is part of life and to acknowledge
that what really matters is finding a ‘WHY?’ – that reason to keep striving and living and to bounce back and try again…and again.
We must be the change we wish to see in the world.
– Mahatma Gandhi

With the kind permission of the author, Dr Alexander Loyd PhD ND, I include some key advice here (Page 257 of The Healing Code –Category #8: Kindness vs Rejection/Harshness):
“The Kindness Category may be the most critical one to the largest number of people, especially people who have experienced deep non-physical pain in their lives. A selfish person- one who is reacting in fear instead of choosing love – is likely to reject and be harsh with other people out of his or her own pain and feelings of rejection. This is the most devastating thing in life that anyone can experience – rejection from another person. It is at the root of just about any love problem (feeling accepted and loved and worthwhile) we can have.
It should come as no surprise, then, that the body system most affected by rejection is the central nervous system. While our cellular memories appear to be the control mechanism for healing every cell of the body, the central nervous system would have to be considered the control mechanism for just about every other function. The millions of signals that coordinate the activities and movements of the body consciously and unconsciously are controlled by the central nervous system.
Two of the most important parts of the body make up the core of the central nervous system: the brain and the spinal cord. This drives home the gravity of rejection when we understand that the system most damaged by this rejection is the major control system of the body. Many people believe that as the nervous system goes, so the body goes. Therefore, the things most directly healing to the central nervous system are simple acts of kindness.”
“When I reflect on this, it’s easy for me to see the remarkable truth in this association. The people throughout my life who have been the most kind to me are the same people I think of when I recall the people I love the most and who have loved me the most. Even though some of these people were only part of my life for a few minutes, they made a huge impact in my heart.”
